Service Committee

New as of the 2010/2011 Kin year, the National Service Committee’s (NSC) purpose is to put a renewed, holistic focus on service at the national level. For many years, the Kin-CF Liaison Committee --  whose mandate is concentrated on Cystic Fibrosis -- was the only Kin committee dedicated to service beyond the district level. The NSC will now encompass a broader spectrum of Kin service, including CF.

Committee members: Robin Stanton (Chair & National Service Director), Gerry Boehm (Vice-Chair), Brenda Dineen (D1), Richard 'Tiny' Bowman (D1), Jack Rhyner (D2), Jesse Shkuratoff (D3), Davina Thuroo (D4), Sandra Bowes (D5), Susan Eastbury (D6), Wynette Thurston-Ellis (D6), Susan Eastbury (D6), Pat King (D7), Amanda Loitsch (D8), and Cristen Quigley (staff).

For more information, please contact Cristen Quigley, Service Coordinator, at 800-742-5546 ext. 206

Kin CF Liaison Committee

The Kin-CF Liaison Committee is a sub-committee of the National Service Committee.

Since 1964, Kin Canada has raised close to $40 million for Cystic Fibrosis Canada (CF) and the median age for a person living with CF has risen from age four in 1964 to 37.9 in the year 2003. CF is a passion for Kinsmen and Kinettes across Canada and we are committed to raising funds for clinical research for the foundation. We have seen great medical strides in the care of children and adults with CF, including the identification of the gene responsible for CF.
