I attended a leadership conference recently, and here is one of the lessons I learned:
GOOD LEADERS ASK GREAT QUESTIONS

Good leaders empower their teams by asking for input. People feel more valued when asked their opinions. Questions are also away to connect with people and build deeper relationships.
Questions allow us to build better ideas by inviting others to share their perspectives. Questions lead to discovery. Asking the right questions is also a great way to direct and lead a conversation.
Maxwell, also has advice on the best kinds of questions to ask if you get a moment with a great leader. These questions will serve you in your attempts to become a better you.
- The greatest lesson you’ve ever learnt? This grants you some of one’s WISDOM.
- What are you learning now? This hints at one’s PASSION.
- How has failure shaped you? This gives a lesson on ATTITUDE.
- Who do you know that I should know? This will build your NETWORK.
- What have you read that I should read? This question helps guide your PERSONAL GROWTH.
- What have you done that I should do? Another avenue for PERSONAL GROWTH.
- How can I add value to you? This last question shows your GRATITUDE for the person’s time.
Practice your question asking. Be genuinely interested in the responses you get. And remember, it’s better to look uninformed and ask for clarity, than to be uniformed.
