Description of project We all have smaller pieces of fleece or cotton left form various project with a little work blankets in a smaller size can be made and shared.
Posters were put up at the various fabric stores requesting donations of fleece or cottons. All the material received were washed and then with loving care made into small blankets for the NCU units for the hospitals and seniors at some our senior centers.
When delivering the blankets to a senior centre we were asked to distribute them, it was so nice to meet so many seniors and the appreciation of receiving a small blanket to cover their lap. Several shared stories of how their mother used to save scraps to make clothes and blankets when they were younger. Several indicated it so nice to see someone taking the time to think of them and share something so wonderful.
