Did you leverage this project as a way to recruit new members? No
If you answered yes to the question above, please explain:
How was this project promoted in your community? Social media and word of mouth.
What were some challenges you faced with this project, and how could your project be improved? Getting more club members to participate. I would assign members a day of the week that they are responsible to flock.
What was the approximate budget for this project? Less than $1,000
If the project was a fundraiser, what were the sources of revenue for this project? Donations, minimum $50.00 per flocking.
If this was a fundraiser, how much money was raised (minus expenses)? $10,000+
What were the expenses for this project? Flamingos, but they were donated, if you need to buy they would cost approximately $600.00 and then you need to purchase yard signs, at least 4-signs at approximately $40.00 each and dry liner markers and wipes to remove the previous messages - e.g. HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY! Love Joe ❤️
Is there anything else you would like to share that would assist another club in duplicating this project in their community? It will start off slow so I would do a few free flockings and do a press release to get some media attention and be prepared...it will get busy! Have a schedule prepared and assign members a day. If at all possible, have a business volunteer to take all the calls for the flockings and help fill the schedule or use an online platform and this will also allow users to pay online. We just had people e-transfer us their donation and that worked well. Take pictures and post on social media! This project is very Covid friendly, it’s a great way to get the family involved and try to not to get caught flocking, so be prepared to go when it’s dark or early morning, as the surprise is what you want ;)
