|Description of project
|We host and run the yearly santa parade. We collect sponsorships from local businesses to offset the costs of running the event. We usually generate several thousand dollars more in sponsorship than we spend on the parade. These funds are used to pay for other service projects we do during the year such as the Easter Egg Hunt and the pet and hobby parade.
|Did you leverage this project as a way to recruit new members?
|If you answered yes to the question above, please explain:
|We promote the family atmosphere of decorating santas float and the week before the event we hold a candy bagging party to bag up the 600-800 bags of candy that santa hands out

|Is there anything else you would like to share that would assist another club in duplicating this project in their community?
|This is a key high profile event in most communities and is very important to have the kin brand attached it. It takes some organization but can be an excellent fundraiser and profile raiser for any club wishing to take the challenge on. Requires approx 15-20 volunteers the way we run it.
