How was this project promoted in your community? Posters, local newspaper, local radio stations, radio station "Community Cruiser" stopped by and promoted event live. Free advertising in Community Events section of: Provincial Newspaper, CBC online, CTV Morning Live, Kijiji Events, Coffee News Newsletter, etc...
What were some challenges you faced with this project, and how could your project be improved? We are a small club of 6 members and we needed help from some of our Honorary Members to pull off such a large project. Unfortunately, half of our members do not feel comfortable canvassing businesses for prizes, so this fell on the shoulders of 3 members to contact close to 100 businesses! This could be improved by having more members willing to contact businesses for donations.
