How was this project promoted in your community? We promoted in local papers, flyers in stores. This is an activity we do every year, a lot of donations are word of mouth.
What were some challenges you faced with this project, and how could your project be improved? It is getting harder and harder to get people to help chair this project. It takes a lot of time to organize and put the auction together. We did miss some stores that we could of asked for donations but over all it was a great event.
What was the approximate budget for this project? Less than $1,000
If the project was a fundraiser, what were the sources of revenue for this project? We are so lucky to live in a community that donates a lot of there items to us for the worthy project. We the Kinettes will donate a lot of our time and money to make this a great prioject
If this was a fundraiser, how much money was raised (minus expenses)? Not Applicable
What were the expenses for this project? Thanks to the Kinsmen the hall is free for this project, that usually cost a lot to rent the hall. The advertising cost a lot and renting the table covers for the auction tables.
Is there anything else you would like to share that would assist another club in duplicating this project in their community? You do need about 4 months to get this project up and running. We like to have all items for auctions, two weeks before the auction. We put a full list in the local paper, this take a lot of work to get this part ready
