Half a century of generosity and service was marked Friday in typical Kinsmen Club of Stampede City fashion. They cut a cheque — this one for $1.31 million that’ll benefit 11 Calgary charities.
The Kinsmen Riverfront Home Lottery show home has received a thumbs-up from one of the building industry’s best-known contractors. Celebrity contractor Mike Holmes was in Saskatoon on Thursday to do his final inspection of the Kinsmen RiverFront Home Lottery showhome and organizers hope his stamp of approval means higher ticket sales for the organization.
The Kinsmen Club of Lindsay will be conducting our 16th annual Toll Road on Saturday May 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It takes place at the intersection of Kent Street West & St. Joseph Road. Last year Lindsay Kinsmen raised $2,750.00 towards Kin Canada’s donation to Cystic Fibrosis.
Beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, bidding will begin in two different St. Marys locations in two similar but very different events: a fun charity auction hosted by the St. Marys Kinsmen Club; and the decidedly serious business of the Town of St. Marys attempting to sell of some prime downtown real estate.
For 26 years now, community members in the Kingston area have excitedly purchased tickets for the Kinsmen Dream Home Lottery in hopes of winning a brand new, luxurious, state-of-the-art home.
“Serving the Community’s Greatest Need”, this is the motto of the Bible Hill Kinsmen. And, at our newest event, The Great Trivia Challenge, we were thrilled with the support we received in return from this community.
The pizzas were nearly as fresh as the news that the Kinsmen Club of Cornwall has collected more than $100,000 through a popular event that benefits youth in the area.

Last month saw our annual celebration of the founding of Kin Canada. Hal Rodgers began our association in February of 1920 and it soon spread across the nation to become this country's largest all-Canadian service organization. New Glasgow's Kinsmen Club was established in 1943 and has flourished ever since.
Spring isn't generally considered the "season of giving", but for the Kinsmen group in Kingston it certainly is. After a very successful Dream Home Lottery campaign last year, the Kinsmen decided to donate to a number of community groups.
