Bell Aliant Pioneers, Copperbelt Club, recently delivered 121 personalized readers to 10 classes in eight schools in Green Bay and White Bay areas. They got monetary help for the project from sponsors like Springdale Lions Club, Springdale Community Development Cooperative, Baie Verte Kinsmen, and the La Scie Kinsmen.
$150,000 is coming from the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon to local sports in Saskatoon. The club made the announcement at their home lottery showhome this morning, first up was a cheque for $75,000 to the Friends of the Bowl Foundation, who are raising funds for the ongoing improvements of the Saskatoon Minor Football Field at Gordon Howe Park.
The Kinsmen Lotto for the Alberta Children’s Hospital kicked off its 22nd year of proudly supporting the children of Alberta. Having raised over $26 million, they have plenty to celebrate and are giving ticket buyers lots to celebrate, too!
The event, which will take place at the Marystown Muncipal Centre Sunday, May 25, serves as a fundraiser for healthcare in the region and is broadcast live on CHCM.

Celebrity contractor Mike Holmes was in Saskatoon on Thursday to do his final inspection of the Kinsmen RiverFront Home Lottery showhome and organizers hope his stamp of approval means higher ticket sales for the organization.
Construction of a brand new train-themed playground was on track and chugging along over the weekend. It was last spring that the Kinsmen Club of Calgary pledged $50,000 for the playground to be built in Heritage Park, and on Saturday and Sunday more than 40 people — including Kinsmen Club volunteers, Heritage Park staff and volunteers and a couple of contractors — began building.
