The local Kinsmen and Kinette clubs nominated a High River couple to the province’s flood hero program for their kindness and tireless efforts to help their community following last June’s flood.

Dozens of performances lit up the stage at Aultsville Theatre from March 26 to 30. The festival is a longstanding tradition established by the Kinsmen Club of Cornwall to encourage and foster the development of the arts in schools.

The 60th Annual Kinsmen Music Festival kicked off Wednesday at Aultsville Hall and this year there are a few additions to the show.

There’s a new approach to old favourite in Chesley. The format has changed for the 31st annual Mid-Western Agri-Fair to be held April 1 and 2 at the Chesley Community Centre.

Last month saw our annual celebration of the founding of Kin Canada. Hal Rodgers began our association in February of 1920 and it soon spread across the nation to become this country's largest all-Canadian service organization. New Glasgow's Kinsmen Club was established in 1943 and has flourished ever since.

Spring isn't generally considered the "season of giving", but for the Kinsmen group in Kingston it certainly is. After a very successful Dream Home Lottery campaign last year, the Kinsmen decided to donate to a number of community groups.

Telemiracle 38 was well respresented by the Yorkton Kinsmen & Kinettes. 29 Kin members and friends from the Yorkton clubs answered the phones at this telethon.

Wayne McCormick can’t imagine life without volunteering.The 72-year-old Bible Hill resident has been helping others in the community for as long as he can remember.

A big thank-you to the Bible Hill Kinsmen Club for their generous donation of $3500.00 to the Hospice Food from the Heart program.
