The title of Timmins sauce king has been vacated and the time has come for someone to fill to void.
The spaghetti dinner itself is $10 a plate, and we’re raising funds for the Lord’s Kitchen, so hopefully we’ll have a good turnout. We’re hoping to get to $1,000. Last year, we made about $500 to $600, around there, so we want to up that.

The local Kinsmen Club, which spearheaded the original effort to build the skateboard park — located adjacent to the outdoor swimming pool — was recently approved for a $40,000 grant from the province. The MLA said the skate park is “another good facility for the kids in town. The Kinsmen have always been good community leaders.”
The local office of the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be the charity of choice for the 2015 Kinsmen Cornwall Waterfest event this summer.
The Kinsmen Club of Cornwall has come on board as title sponsor for the festival, to the delight of many, including Heart and Stroke Foundation area manager Cindy Rowe.
Volunteerism is the needle that weaves a community together; without it, connections unravel, parks, arenas and libraries don’t get built, and people live comparatively solitary lives.
